returns to her hometown Australia, for a number of gigs and appearances to celebrate the release of her latest album 'Woman'
'Woman' the follow up to her second album 'Temperamental Angel'
, released in 2001, touches on female sensuality, sexuality, self-empowerment, openness and honesty.
"'Woman' encompasses the emotions, passions and experiences of a young woman growing up, dealing with relationships and becoming self-empowered as an individual", explains Gilli.
Adding her splashes of vibrant paints on canvas during live shows has thrown GILLI in the U.S media spotlight and she is now known to have ignited a movement in Hollywood, melting music and art, called SensuArt.
Gilli has won awards for songwriting in three countries and she just won 4th year in a row "The Netherlands' Song Expo". Her songs have also been featured in U.S. network TV and film.
Gilli is also the driving force behind the Songsalive! Expo 2002
, Los Angeles' which brought together 700 people, including 63 top music industry panellists, 45 performers, 6 stages, 5 venues and indie minded artists and songwriters. Her passion has taken her to author her first book, "I AM a Professional Artist - the Key to Survival and Success in the World of the Arts,"
a new survival handbook for artists which she will be discussing at the Sydney Songsalive! monthly Songwriter Workshop on Wednesday December 4 in Sydney.
Gilli runs her own record company, Warrior Girl Music
, an independent label launched in 2000 to embrace the new music frontier in an artist-driven music industry whose leaders include independent Australian recording artists.
