ALANIS MORISSETTE has become one of the most celebrated singer/songwriters in contemporary music since her emergence on the music scene seven years ago. Her deeply expressive music and performances have earned the seven-time Grammy Award winner wide critical praise and a dedicated fan base that extends throughout the world a status that many artists aspire to achieve.
Her debut album Jagged Little Pill created a heavy impact on listeners, revealing a talented young artist with a powerful voice and challenging vision. Jagged Little Pill enjoyed enormous success and featured the great hits "You Oughta Know," "Hand In My Pocket," "Ironic" and "You Learn".
In 1998, Alanis returned with the release of Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie, which featured the hits "Thank U," "Unsent" and "So Pure." This album also achieved success, reflecting Alanis' expanded musical artistry.

She recently expressed her hope for a better world when she shared her song "Utopia" from her brilliant new album Under Rug Swept, on her website in the wake of the September 11 attacks.
Under Rug Swept is a fine work of art and explores Alanis' personal and musical growth since her last album release.
