Stieg Larsson The Man Who Left Too Soon

This Swedish author at only age 50 had one hell of an incredible life. His creative work not unlike Van Gogh was not recognised until after mysterious death. His three novels the Millennium trilogy (beginning with The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo) (rumour of a manuscript for a forth) are among the most successful in the history of publishing.

His life story is even stranger than his fiction world- he took on the neo-Nazis, and left no will behind naming his lover of 30 years or his family as heirs to his incredible fortune. Even his death is shocking- was it a massive heart attack or something more sinister?

Barry Forshaw is a top crime fiction journalist who researched Stieg Larsson's life. Forshaw's books include British Crime Writing: An Encyclopedia and The Rough Guide to Crime Fiction, he has also written for The Independent, The Express and The Times.
