Drink Me Skye Rogers

Drink Me Skye Rogers

You don't fall in love with an alcoholic - you fall in love with a man. At least at first.

Why do women fall for 'damaged' men?

Why do women keep looking for love to fix everything?

In 'Drink Me', Skye Rogers tells her moving story about the great love - and fight - of her life. As she charts the course of her relationship with fellow artist Daniel, the man she believed was her soul mate, Skye examines patterns of behaviour and why we choose them; the nature of love and why we seek it; life and what we do with it. With honesty and the occasional burst of humour, Skye Rogers tries to get to the bottom of what makes us tick. Though it centres around one couple's tumultuous relationship, 'Drink Me' is threaded with universal themes.

While slowly conquering her former tendency to walk into the arms of self-destruction, Daniel's downward spiral provides a mirror to Skye's own journey. Sometimes leaving a relationship means choosing to live.

Though subtle advice can be found in the book, 'Drink Me' is more a meditation on the choices we make and how we define and make ourselves through our relationships. Why do we choose to stay or go?

Lyrically written and many-layered, 'Drink Me' is a book everyone who has ever loved should read.
