Sydney Good Food & Wine Show
GET INTO SHAPE FOR SYDNEY GOOD FOOD & WINE SHOW - JULY 1-3, 2005

It's time to get into gourmet shape and start some "palate pilates" in readiness for the Sydney Good Food and Wine Show taking place at Darling Harbour from Friday July 1 to Sunday July 3.

This year, the Sydney Good Food & Wine Show (www.goodfoodshow.com.au) will spread over three halls with more than 300 exhibitors comprising Australia's leading wine companies and most innovative food marketers and producers showcasing the latest culinary trends around the world.

It seems Australians can't get enough of these shows staged by leading exhibition organiser, Australian Exhibition Services. The Sydney event is expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors, the Melbourne Good Food & Wine Show, taking place from June 17 to 19, should attract similar numbers, and Brisbane will be holding its inaugural show from November 4 to 6, 2005.

As well as Vogue Entertaining & Travel Restaurant Showcase held in association with LG, a major highlight will include the delicious. Celebrity Theatre with added Zoom-Zoom from Mazda featuring the crème de la crème of chefs - Australia's own international TV chef Curtis Stone (presenting his new DVD Surfing the Menu 2), Today Show's Luke Mangan of Salt and Bistro Lulu, Lifestyle Channel chef Bill Granger of bills; Matt Moran, owner of Sydney celebrity restaurant, Aria; and Donna Hay, recognised as Australia's leading creator of cookbooks.

This year's secret charismatic culinary weapon will be New York based TV chef Tyler Florence set to become a household name in Australia with two of his highly acclaimed shows, FOOD 911 and Tyler's Ultimate.

First airing in the US in 1999, FOOD 911, provides imaginative solutions to kitchen chaos while Tyler's Ultimate searches the globe for the people who cook the ultimate foods, cutting through the formidable prices, pretension and jargon that often accompany culinary genius.

The programs, aired on Lifestyle FOOD, Foxtel and Austar coincide with the release by Random House of his latest cookbook, Eat This Book. Featuring mouthwatering images by renowned Australian photographer Petrina Tinsley whom Florence considers the best food photographer in the world, Eat This Book, shows the home cook how to impress friends and influence people with sensational recipes they never believed they could create.

Gourmet attractions also include the australian good taste Theatre Kitchen, Super Food Ideas tips on everyday cooking, and the Wine & Beer Tasting Theatre, a showcase of Australia's top drops and fine lagers.
