LIVING LIGHTHOUSE

The Lighthouse Foundation has developed a unique fundraising event; 'Living Lighthouse'. Various interior and landscape designers will totally renovate the 110-year-old Italianate mansion that has been a home to 120 homeless and disadvantaged young people over more than 8 years.

24 interior designers and 5 landscape and exterior designers have exactly one month from the 13th of July to the 13th of August to renovate and transform the Lighthouse Foundation's Toorak home.

The designers include: Atticus & Milo, Keftin Ceramics, Stockwell & Oxford, Decollo on Montague, Cardamone Design, Creative Interiors, Rebecca Clark, Boyd Interiors, Window Workshop, Janine Browning Interiors, Urban Pad, Royale Interiors, Arthur Taylor, Candlewick, Inta Furniture, Beautiful Room, AALTO, Dig, Botanical Solutions, Rock n' Stone and Paul Bangay Garden & Design. Country Road, Whirlpool, Supatuft and Wools of New Zealand are also donors.

These designers and their trades people are generously donating their time, talents, furnishings, fittings and accessories to make the renovation a permanent contribution to the Lighthouse Foundation.

Once the transformation is complete, the home will be showcased to the public from the 24th of August to the 1st of September. The address of the home is 627 Malvern Road, Toorak, 3142. The Lighthouse Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to empowering young people to take responsibility for their own lives. Lighthouse provides young people aged 15-22 years with long-term accommodation and support in a loving and caring family environment.

Lighthouse offers the young people a chance to overcome their disadvantages so that they can become valuable, contributing members of the community.
