Games4Good launches national fundraising partnership first with

Ovarian Cancer Australia  

South Australian headquartered social enterprise Games4Good is asking Australians to have fun and raise funds, following the launch of a national fundraising partnership first with Ovarian Cancer Australia (OCA).

The partnership will provide critical funds to support Australian women fighting the nation's most fatal female cancer, through an exclusively developed family dice game, Herding Cats, which will be sold across the TerryWhite Chemmart network nationally from early November.

It's an innovative fundraising concept which Games4Good co-founders, Stephanie Malan and Andrew Bensley, intend to grow to support charities, Australia-wide. 

"We are delighted to support Ovarian Cancer Australia through an innovative fundraising model, which we intend to develop, providing a new platform to support Australian charities raise funds. Whilst raising funds for OCA is critical, we also hope this partnership will raise awareness around this fatal disease, which affects the lives of so many Australian women each year," says Malan.

"Herding Cats, a fun family game, also provides a great avenue to bring families together and enjoy the traditions of playing games, particularly leading into the festive season and over the summer holidays. It's a way to have fun with purpose and start the conversation about how we can create a better kinder world," adds Bensley.   

Funds raised from the sale of Herding Cats, will be directed to OCA programs which support women experiencing the effects of ovarian cancer across the country. It is expected over $30,000 will be raised for OCA before the end of the year, critical funds, given ovarian cancer has a survival rate of only 48%.

Ovarian Cancer Australia, CEO, Jane Hill says, "We are thrilled to partner with Games4Good and TerryWhite Chemmart, nationally, to raise critical funds for OCA. The generosity from these organisations will directly support OCA's psychosocial support programs, and ensure OCA continue to expand our advocacy work."
