Producer David Hawkins of Showtune Productions worked for four years to create an Australian version of this high voltage cult-rock musical. "The pedigree for Hedwig is extraordinary. Fans were clamoring for an Australian season and our cast and production blew peoples minds... thats why Ive brought it back for a return season."

Hedwig the love child of Marlene Dietrich and Ziggy Stardust and "internationally ignored song-stylist" explores the themes of bittersweet regret, disappointment and the strength to survive.

"the most wholly rounded piece of rock theatre we have seen in years." David Bowie

"A live performance powerhouse, iOTA delivers 90 minutes of high-adrenaline hooning along the rock'n'roll super highway. Hold onto your seats." The Age

"In a word, oh okay, in eleven words, its one of the best productions of any show Ive seen! From the stage set, to the lighting, to the costume design, to every cast member, Aussie Hedwig is top shelf stuff." Drum Media

"Let's cut to the chase. Hedwig and the Angry Inch is the most exciting piece of music theatre to hit Sydney in years and is shaping up as one of 2006's essential theatre experiences. Miss this and you'll be sorry...10/10" The Sun Herald
