Helping to firmly establish the cinematic myth of the werewolf back in 1941, the legendary tale of The Wolfman has been fantastically remade for the new generation and is releasing on Blu-ray and DVD, featuring the thrilling, never-before-seen extended Director's cut on 10th of June 2010.
With a stellar cast including Sir Anthony Hopkins (Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, Red Dragon) Benicio Del Toro (Che 1 and 2, Snatch, Sin City), Emily Blunt (Charlie Wilson's War, The Young Victorian) and Hugo Weaving (Transformers, Lord of the Rings), The Wolfman is a spine chilling treat for fans of classic horror everywhere.
Six-time Oscar® winning special effects artist Rick Baker brings his design and makeup talents to transform Del Toro into the fearsome title character. Baker was also responsible for the transformation of David Naughton in the John Landis classic An American Werewolf in London. Joe Johnston (Jurassic Park 3) directs The Wolfman in various locations around the UK, including The Peak District's historic Chatsworth House.
Lawrence Talbot (Del Toro), a haunted nobleman, is lured back to his family estate after his brother vanishes, and his brother's fiancée Gwen Conliffe (Blunt) tracks him down to help her find her missing love. Upon returning he learns that something with brute strength and insatiable bloodlust has been killing the villagers, and that a suspicious Scotland Yard inspector named Aberline (Weaving) has come to investigate. Reunited with his estranged father (Hopkins), Talbot sets out to find his brother… and discovers a horrifying density for himself.
