Colin (Dornan) is a high-flying New York businessman who always gets what he wants. One of Colin's potential clients, a rich Arab Sheikh (Ali Suliman, Lone Survivor, Body of Lies), is a passionate pigeon fancier who has been trying to buy champion pigeon 'Wittekop' in Belgium. In order to convince the Sheikh to do business with him, Colin travels to Belgium in attempt to acquire the coveted racing bird, despite the owner's declared unwillingness to sell it.

Finding himself in unfamiliar territory, Colin disguises himself as a relative looking for the grave of an ancestor who died in Belgium during the Great War. He is introduced to a village-girl Isabelle (Charlotte De Bruyne, Little Black Spiders, A History of Everything), who by chance is also the granddaughter of the owner and protector of the sought-after bird. As Colin finds himself calling for Isabelle, he is forced to make a difficult decision: his career or the love of his life?
