When a little girl vanishes from a notorious Boston neighborhood, two private detectives are hired by the family to find answers, but what happens when few want to know the truth, and those entrusted to find her are the ones with the most to hide? Based on the book by DENNIS LEHANE, author of the novel and the box office hit, Mystic River, Gone Baby Gone begins when 4 year old Amanda McCready goes missing from her home without a trace. Following a fruitless police investigation led by Police Captain Jack Doyle (MORGAN FREEMAN), local private detective Patrick Kenzie (CASEY AFFLECK) and his partner and girlfriend Angie Gennero (MICHELLE MONAGHAN) are hired in desperation by the family.

At first through assisting the police detectives assigned to the case (ED HARRIS, JOHN ASHTON), and later by delving further into the case, Patrick and Angie soon become embroiled in a search that not only takes them deep into the seedy underbelly of Boston, but requires them to risk everything - their relationship, their sanity and even their lives - to find the girl.

In his directorial debut, BEN AFFLECK delivers a superb thriller that will have audiences thinking hard about the moral issues that are raised long after the film is over. The film brings together an impeccable star studded cast that also includes AMY RYAN as the mother of the missing girl, Helene McCready, nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards© for her role.
