After losing his girl and his way, Kenny wants out of Mumbai and longs for the drizzle, tarmac and supermarkets of England. Dev continues running the centre but a call from the London head office advising they are sending an assessor over to visit, soon brings Kenny back into the game and throws everything into chaos.

When the assessor Terri Johnson arrives, she fulfils her brief and shakes up the office. Little does she know she will have to stay in Mumbai to help Kenny run the call centre!

Mumbai Calling Interview with Daisy Beaumont

Tell me about Mumbai Calling:

Daisy Beaumont: Mumbai Calling is a comedy drama set in a call centre. You get to meet the voices who have helped mend your computer and given you train times from the other side of the world and the confusion that that sometimes entails.

What role do you play?

Daisy Beaumont: I play Terri Johnson, sent to Mumbai from the London Head Office to sort out the relaxed office and teach the call centre staff about regional accents!

How has this differed from your other acting work?

Daisy Beaumont: I'd never filmed in India before. It's a magical place. So vibrant and visceral, and the food. Amasala dosa for breakfast, what a treat!

It seems like it would have been fun to shoot, was it?

Daisy Beaumont: It was a lot of fun. The only difficult part of working with two very funny men (Sanjeev and Nitin) is trying to keep a straight face!

Do you think that the chaos seen in Mumbai Calling would be similar to that of a calling centre?

Daisy Beaumont: I worked in a call centre after leaving college and it wasn't that different! The highs and the lows and the misunderstandings. Its funny the relationships you form with people you'll never meet.

What is was your favourite part about filming Mumbai Calling?

Daisy Beaumont: I loved being in Mumbai. It's so visceral. I have never known a city to have such a big, pulsating heart.

Has your attitude changed towards those, who call you, whilst working in a calling centre now?

Daisy Beaumont: Definitely. From both my experiences! Manners make the man.
