Edgy photographer Frankie has returned from America for the funeral of her deceased aunt. Her ex-girlfriend Cat is beginning to move on with newfound partner Sam, but Frankie's presence back home in Glasgow entangled her in the loose ends with lovers and friends that she left behind.

In dealing with the mystery surrounding her Aunt's last dying wish; Frankie visits the registrar's office and finds out more than she bargained for. When she turns to Cat for comfort, she puts cat's new relationship with Sam, at risk.

Best friend Tess takes a job as a runner on a TV show where she meets Lou, a seemingly straight TV presenter. Things take a turn when Tess realises Lou is interested in dating women, but just as a things start to heat up, she finds out that Lou might be spending more time with a male work colleague than she's been letting on.
