French Leave

From the producers of the Naked Chef and Two Fat Ladies, French Leave is an entertaining new cookery series that goes beyond the kitchen, taking us on a journey into the French countryside and into the heart of a family.

Available on DVD, the series stars top chef John Burton Race, as he swaps the pressures of a highly successful two Michelin star London restaurant for a farmhouse in south-west France. Joining him on this adventure are his wife Kim, their six children aged between three and sixteen and the family pet - a Labrador puppy.

Fed up with life in the UK, John hopes to rediscover his family, his love of cooking and his creativity. But will the reality of life in rural France match up to his dreams, or will it be a case of out of the frying pan into the fire?

The 2-disc DVD features the entire series of 10 episodes. Each features between two to three dishes with highlights including French Onion Soup, Apple Crepe, and Simple Chocolate Truffles. All of these irresistible recipes can be viewed in the special features secion.
