Car Models Available With a Skin-Free InteriorThere is nothing luxurious about the stolen skin of a tortured animal. Steer clear of cruelty by purchasing only cars that are not lined with death.
Bader, a leather company based in Germany, supplies just one car company with 800,000 skins per year. It takes the skin of about four cows to make one leather car interior-often times more.
There is no excuse for this. Many synthetic materials are widely available, and they feel and look just like leather. There are also, of course, many wonderful natural fibers's that car companies can, and many do use.
If the car model of your choice is not listed, please write to the concerned company and ask that it make all models of its cars available with a non-leather option, at least on special order.
