These brownies are free from flour, dairy and refined sugar, and are the perfect way to squeeze some extra veggies into what can be a very indulgent time of year.
Makes: 12 squares
1 cup nut butter
1/2 cup rice malt syrup
¼ cup raw cacao powder, plus extra for dusting
2 tbsp IsoWhey Wholefoods Organic Beetroot, Macqui + Goji powder
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup grated beetroot (approx. 1 medium beetroot)
80g 85% dark chocolate, roughly chopped
Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and line a rectangular slice tin with baking paper.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.
Spoon mixture into a prepared tin. Bake for 35 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
Dust with extra cacao.
