Caredent Kids

Encouraging children to brush can challenge the most patient of parents. Leading Australian oral health care company, Caredent, has launched 'Caredent Kids' bringing a new portfolio of 'kid-proof' toothbrushes to families.

The new brand seeks to make brushing fun, educate children on proper brushing technique and help achieve consistent quality oral care. This comes as recent research reveals one in three children do not brush their teeth often enough and more than 26,000 Australians under 15 are admitted to hospital to treat tooth decay every year¹.

Caredent is encouraging children to take the two minute teeth test every day twice a day by brushing their upper teeth for 1 minute and their lower teeth for the same time. The new Cosmic toothbrush comes with a unique two-minute LED flashing light timer, easy grip handle, soft compact head and suction cup for hygiene. Available in purple and blue for RRP $5.00.

The Starlite brush comes with a one minute light up timer. Children are encouraged to press the button and brush their top teeth, then press the button once more to clean their bottom teeth, learning to take the time to care for teeth effectively. The brush is available in bright yellow, pink and orange with an ergonomic handle, suction cap and compact head with quality bristles for RRP $5.00.

Both the Starlite and Cosmic toothbrushes were created to recognise the long term partnership of Caredent with the Starlight Foundation. The community organisation brightens the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children by adding fun, joy and laughter to their stay. There is now a Starlight Express Room in each children's hospital and 161 Captain Starlight's nationwide.
