SKŸE Love Like That

SKŸE Love Like That

SKŸE unveils his first single in 2020 Love Like That. This stunning track fuses his love of R&B, Pop and Soul music. SKŸE's musical aim is to exist in different spaces that draw from his eclectic taste of various styles and influences, including Adele, H.E.R, Chloe x Halle and Anderson .Paak. All these influences construct an overall melancholy theme which makes up the undercurrent of Love Like That.

The song was co-written by Andy Hopkins (Hauskey) and Bri Clark, produced and mixed by Andy Hopkins, mastered by Stuart Hawkes at Metropolis in London.

SKŸE speaking about his single today, "Love Like That is a song about unrequited love. Wishing you had a love that was open and expressed freely but having it end up as the secret. I want to touch on these things whilst creating a safe space within my audience. Highlighting the diversity in sexualities and identities and the complexities that sometimes come with love."

SKŸE is already an expert storyteller and has a timeless element to his songwriting. He has been studying music, playing shows and releasing independently for the past few years in Melbourne, and recently securing himself a coveted publishing deal with Universal Music.

SKŸE pushes boundaries with his unique vocal tone and stunning musical arrangements. He admires and resonates with female artists and voices saying "I think it came getting attached to my younger vocals being higher, so naturally I gravitated to what I sounded like. And then when my voice broke, I tried listening to male artists and replicating that, but it wasn't as satisfying as belting high notes so I worked my way back up to that more feminine sound. Creating a slightly androgynous tone."

SKŸE's enigmatic voice is capturing the hearts of listeners around the world. We are all listening, and SKŸE's haunting and heart-aching melodies have only just begun.
