Fresh off the back of her debut Australian headline tour, country singer-songwriter darling Sara Berki today releases her latest single ,"Cowboys Do It Better", lifted from her highly anticipated EP, 'In The Neon', due for release this coming 4th July.
After teasing the song on her 'Foolin Me Twice' tour, the infectious "Cowboys Do It Better" follows the success of the blossoming love ballad "Looks Like", which has fast become Sara's fastest moving streaming track to date.
"If you don't have the pleasure of having a cowboy in your life then this song will paint the picture for you", Sara explains. "They can be a little cheeky and rough around the edges but there's a good heart on the inside!".
In the lead up to this moment, Berki had been doing what she thought was expected of her as a country artist, following familiar sounds and paths. On 'In The Neon', her confidence has calcified and Berki emerges with sharp multi-faceted songwriting and genre-bending flair. No longer following anyone else's blueprint, Sara Berki is carving out her own " boldly and on her own terms. "The songs on In the Neon are my feel-good songs," she explains. "They are festival songs, the ones that you love to sing along to."
'In The Neon' will collectively feature debut single and instant classic with Warner Music Australia, "Twice", along with the aforementioned "Looks Like" and "Cowboys Do It Better". The five-track collection is rounded out with the title track, "In the Neon" and "Do Me Too", all of which were produced by Liam Quinn (Peach PRC) and co-written by Sara and Liam. "The main goal of being an artist is that I want people to listen to my music and go, 'that's a Sara Berki song', or 'that's so Sara Berki'. I also want them to feel something. I want to move people. I am proud that I can write a song that will make someone cry and then write a song that will make someone dance.'" With 'In the Neon', we are bearing witness to a woman who's transformed molten pain into golden music.
The news follows hotly on the heels of Sara getting married to her long-time partner, Patrick and jetting off to travel around the U.S for their honeymoon. The break will be short-lived, as Sara has been selected to showcase at the world's premiere country music festival, CMA Festival in June. Sara will be hitting the stage for the Sounds Australia Aussie BBQ at the 5 Spot, East Nashville on Saturday 7 th June and her official CMA Fest showcase on the Spotlight Stage at Fan Fair X on Sunday 8 th June. Sara will then stay in the U.S for an extended writing trip before heading home for a run of festival dates and more headline touring to come.

Sara's combination of timeless storytelling with her modern country sensibilities and her down-to-earth presence have helped establish her as one of the most exciting and prolific new artists in country music. With 5 million music streams and over 7.5 million video streams, she has built an impressive catalogue of songs since the release of her debut single "Fallin' off the Heartline" in 2022. Capturing audiences not just at home, but globally, it is clear Sara is ready to take her music to the world.
But 2024 marked her true breakout. She performed at major Australian country music festivals like CMC Rocks, Ridin' Hearts Festival, Groundwater Country Music Festival, and took the stage at Brisbane's Gabba Stadium for the Brisbane Lions' AFL season opener. Her performance of John Denver's "Take Me Home, Country Roads" at that event went viral, racking up 20 million views across platforms and making her one of the most-watched Australian country artists of the year on YouTube. She also won the APRA Professional Development Award in the Country/Americana category, joining alumni like Gotye, Morgan Evans and Fanny Lumsden.
Sarah kicked off 2025 reaching new milestones with her hit single "Looks Like" along with a collaboration with Y.O.G.A. ("Forever Hold Your Gun"). This landmark year also set the groundwork for her first ever headline tour at the start of 2025. The tour was unique in that Sara performed two sets each night. The first set was solo, just Sara with her guitar, performing the songs in their most vulnerable form. The second set was with her band, energy high and the crowd singing and dancing to every song. This format was the perfect representation of Sara and where she sits as an artist, songwriter and performer – the introspective singer-songwriter and the good-time, leader of the party. 'In The Neon', the first of two new EP's that Sara will be releasing in 2025 represents the latter of those two sides of Sara.
