Following the recent single release "Juliette", Tasmanian singer-songwriter Nuria has returned with her latest prize "Closer". A calming moment of easy listening, "Closer" explores the topic of young love while depicting Nuria's diligence as a well-rounded artist with classically trained piano and vocal skills.
"Closer looks at those primal adolescent feelings of first love and desire. I remember that time - feeling completely overcome by these crazy emotions," said Nuria. "No longer a teenager myself, I see girls during that time and I find myself intimidated by their intensity. It's such a wild time that will always fascinate me."
"Closer" comes straight off the back of Nuria's most recent single "Juliette" which received praise from music blogs Amnplify, BackBeat Podcast, Female.com.au and Women in Pop who described the track as is "a lushly produced, dramatic ballad with soaring vocals set to a brooding backbeat which has elements of classical music, pop and indie".

Nuria's story is reflected in the depths of her songwriting - a childhood of fantasy, tumultuous adolescence of desires, insecurities and self-discovery, the "sensible" choice of a day job as a doctor and all the while a burning and insatiable desire to create and connect through
music.
