Lavrences Nightshade

"Nightshade" delivers even more than we could've asked for from the man who brought us previous epic dance tracks "Radio Man", "My Space" and "Shine". This latest single further cements the signature 80's style pop-dance fusion Lavrence has so carefully crafted. With uplifting lyrics and a beat that leaves you unable to sit still, it calls upon groovers and party people to spend their Saturday nights dancing.

"Nightshade is my love letter to the Queer community," said Lavrence. "It takes bravery, resilience and determination to think for yourself and show up in the world authentically – it's not always safe to do so. I wrote Nightshade for myself and in the music video, I'm performing it to that old version of me, the one at the wedding, who wasn't yet brave enough to be himself but desperately wanted to."

The track is accompanied by a gorgeous music video, shot at Sydney LGBT+ hotspot The Imperial in Erskineville, in which LAVRENCE takes you gently by the hand and leads you into the exciting, glittery world of Sydney's queer community.
