Halcyon Drive Only Youth

Halcyon Drive Only Youth

Melbourne Electro Rockers, Halcyon Drive, have today released their aging afterlife styled video for their new single 'Only Youth', out now via Sony Music Entertainment Australia.

On the eccentric aging video, lead singer Mick Oechsle comments:

"While the song essentially explores the idea of what do we do with our youth - how do we spend our time, how do we waste it, etc - this video for 'Only Youth' takes a little bit of a tangent. We worked with a couple of local makeup artists to age ourselves up, play on the theme and explore what's possible at any age! We directed, filmed and edited it all ourselves and are super proud of another really fun clip. Keep your eyes peeled for the Beyonce inspired choreography at the end."

2018 has been a great year for Halcyon Drive who have been touring consistently, including slots on the Festival of the Sun alongside acts like Vera Blue, Pond and Skegss, as well as The Hills are Alive Festival, headlining Rare Finds indie club night tour circuit and a support slot on Stereophonics sold-out Australian tour. 2019 promises even more on the road for this exciting young band, stay tuned for more details!

'Only Youth' follows their recent critically acclaimed tracks 'Agnosia' and 'Silver Ray', which cemented the group as one of Melbourne's most promising rock trios. Both singles were widely embraced by the likes of Australian radio stations triple j, 3RRR, SYN FM, 4ZZZ, Radio Adelaide and Edge Radio. The tracks also received support from worldwide tastemaker blogs Indie Shuffle (USA), Podcart (UK), The Revue (CAN), We Love That (GER), Niche Music (JAP), Red Bull Music, Laundry Echo, Savage Thrills, Heavy Mag, Music Feeds and Pilerats.
