Legacy Recordings, the catalogue division of Sony Music Entertainment, invites music fans to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Christina Aguilera, the self-titled debut album that launched the superstar's career, with a range of special commemorative releases from Friday, August 23.
The Christina Aguilera 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition, featuring the original album plus rare versions, remixes and a cappella tracks that have never before been released digitally will be available for digital download and streaming on August 23.
A limited edition Christina Aguilera 20th anniversary picture disc vinyl will be available on October 4, and is available for pre-order now.
A special collector's 20th anniversary Christina Aguilera bundle will also be available on Christina's official D2C store. Limited to a run of 1,000 bundles, the D2C configuration includes a picture disc vinyl edition of the album with an autographed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity, a collectible Christina Aguilera cassette, the Christina Aguilera - Deluxe Edition digital download, and a selection of 20th anniversary retro themed merch.
Originally released by RCA Records on August 24, 1999, Christina Aguilera-powered by four hit singles including her signature smash "Genie in a Bottle"--catapulted the then 18-year-old singer into the pop music stratosphere. Aguilera has served as global spokesperson for Yum! Brands' World Hunger Relief effort since 2009 and has helped raise over $150 million for the World Food Program and other hunger relief agencies. In May 2019, she began her residency, The Xperience, at the Zappos Theatre at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas and is also touring Europe on The X Tour throughout 2019.
