Marnong Single Vineyard Heart Pinot Noir

Our Single Vineyard Wines clearly reflect their origin, offering insight into the soil, climate, and growing season of Marnong Estate. These complex and refined wines showcase both fruit and savoury characters with well-defined structures.

Winemaker's Notes
All hand-harvested, 35% 667 clone and 65% MV6, with an average of 25% whole bunches used in ferment. Cold-soaked for 5 days before allowing to warm and complete alcoholic fermentation, an average total of 13 days on skins. Pressed direct to cask and matured on lees for 8 months prior to blending.

Tasting Notes
Sourced from the estate's most central vineyard, this wine offers concentrated black cherry and black plum aromas leading to an opulent palate of dark fruits, mineral nuance and graphite, finely woven tannins

Sourced from the estate's most elevated vineyard, this wine offers lifted floral and spice-driven aromas over a delicate, pure palate of red cherry, talc-like tannins and crisp acidity.

Calabria Terra Shiraz

Aroma: 
Lifted aromas of red plum and dark cherry, layered with spices and subtle cedar notes.

 
Palate: 
Medium-bodied and generous, this wine bursts with juicy dark cherry and plum, framed by soft tannins. Matured in a selection of French oak formats, it carries cinnamon spice and subtle chocolate notes resulting in a silky finish.

 
Suggested Cuisine:
Enjoy with a cheese or charcuterie board, quail and lighter game meats, or chocolate-based desserts such as chocolate torte, berry compote or Bavarian-style cakes.

 
Vintage/Season: 
The 2024 vintage experienced lower-than-average rainfall and finished with warmer conditions, allowing the grapes to reach full flavor ripeness before being harvested at their peak.

 
Winemaking: 
Harvested in the cool of night to preserve freshness, the grapes were gently crushed and fermented in two parcels, one handled delicately to showcase aromatics, the other pumped over twice daily for deeper colour and flavour. After fermentation, both were pressed and matured in French oak for eight months, softening tannins and adding subtle complexity.

Encompassing everything our family stands for and the perfect representation of our history and ethos, The Signature is a sentimental favourite. A classic Australian blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, the 52nd release is as meaningful now as it was in 1966 when we released the inaugural 1962 vintage.

Tasting NotesStunning scarlet red in colour with a vibrant crimson hue. Aromas are classic, detailed and complex, featuring prominent notes of blackcurrant, dark chocolate, black cherry and olive tapenade. As the wine opens alluring floral nuances, sage and liquorice emerge. On the palate the wine is beautifully structured, revealing layers of coffee, blue fruits and spice with long, flowing tannins. This Signature is both stylish and elegant.
