Vixens of Fall The Long Game

Vixens of Fall The Long Game

Queensland's most loveable Country Darlings - Vixens of Fall - are back with a brand new single 'The Long Game' released.  It follows on from their previous single 'And Then We Dance', which spent 4 weeks in The Music Network's Country Hot 50 Airplay Charts, peaking at No.27.

Vixens of Fall ooze the country rock ethos of their predecessors. The three have such a jolly disposition about them that you can't help but be enchanted by the glowing smiles that draw you in and dance you through their playful but heartfelt songs. Songs that quite obviously come from a place of passion and experience and aim to connect deeply with their audience.

Wasting no time during the global lockdown that has been 2020, the three country sirens have done exactly what they do best during this most unprecedented of years - work hard and enjoy the ride.  Spending time recording down on the NSW Central Coast at Rod McCormack's well-known studio The Music Cellar, the girls have been working enthusiastically on a collection of new material, which includes 'The Long Game'

The song, which was co-written by Rod McCormack and Nashville based writers Sam Gay and Templeton Thompson, heralds a new beginning in a vastly changed landscape to the girl's previous singles. It's a song which speaks frankly of the strength of womanhood and reflects on the lives of a 'sassy Country girl, who doesn't give her heart easily'. The lyrics for the track take their inspiration from the girl's mother, whom they fondly refer to as 'Mama Vixen'. As the eldest sister of the trio, Kristina Lessmann explains, "Mama always taught us that people come in and out of our lives for a reason. Our soul mates however, are the people that we recognise instinctively and who awaken a feeling of wanting them in our lives for the long term - hence 'The Long Game'.

The accompanying music video was produced by Jazmyn Bowman of Jazmyn Produces and shot at Mount Kilcoy on the Brisbane Equine Rehoming property.  "We wanted to capture the picturesque beauty of the mountains and let the colours of the early morning set the scene. This song is all about love and beauty and mother nature was our guide that day. She let her sun shine, the birds sing and the sky glow" says Kristina.

Vixens of Fall's new single 'The Long Game' is out now, and available on all digital platforms.
