Tracksuit originally formed in the USA by Steve Hensby (guitar/vox) who was studying a professional music degree at Berklee. Since then, Steve has been around the block playing with band's such as Silver Scene (with Nick Littlemore), Steve Poltz and Phils Finest Hour (pre Dirty Secrets). Once back in Australia, Tracksuit solidified their line up with Jay Leggett on drums and Trav Leggett on bass.
Since conception, the band has played over 100 live shows together, supporting the likes of Owl Eyes, British India, Yves Klein Blue and Kay (Eskimo Joe) amongst their own burgeoning headline shows. Earning a finalist place in MTV's Kickstart in 2008 and playing slots like Triple J's One Night Stand, Tracksuit have solidified their position in the Australian live scene.
Tracksuit dropped their second EP -Where Have All The Good Times Gone?' February last year, launching to a sold out crowd in Mojo's (Fremanth<h3le WA). Triple J and community radio stations all over Australia picked up on the buzz and churned out some Tracksuit airplay, leading the band into a recent no.1 position on the Amrap's Airit Rock Charts.
The band has released 5 individual singles since 2011, all of which made it into the top 10 of the American College Radio Charts. Their two singles -Classy Girl' and -Beat Up Radio' were played on triple j and community radio around the country, scoring a Top 5 placing on the Amrap Airit Charts.
The advent of 2014 meant that Tracksuit started with a clean slate of material, with intentions to weave and sew together a debut long player. Keep your ears peeled and penned for their first album release this year!
