The Sustainable Wardrobe

The Sustainable Wardrobe

The Sustainable Wardrobe is excited to reveal a Summer Showcase will take place in Sydney this December. Founded by stylist Aleysha Campbell, The Sustainable Wardrobe provides a platform for Australia's finest independent ethical and sustainable brands to connect with likeminded consumers.

The Summer Showcase will inhabit Among Equals' beautiful sunlit boutique in the seaside suburb of Bronte from the 7th-17th December. This time the travelling pop-up experience, which is the third for the initiative, has grown beyond ready-to-wear fashion and jewellery to incorporate beauty, home and lifestyle, with over twenty brands that share a prospect for an equitable and sustainable future participating.

The December timing also provides an opportunity for the conscious consumer to shop thoughtfully for Christmas gifts for their loved ones, whilst supporting local businesses and those doing good things for the planet.

In creating a travelling pop-up experience, The Sustainable Wardrobe reimagines how consumers shop and engage with brands. With an aim to educate and inspire, the store's brick-and-mortar presence encourages the wearer to connect with designers and craftsmanship.

At its heart, The Sustainable Wardrobe reveals a purpose steeped in collaboration, community and inclusivity. With a collaborative voice, the store hopes to create a community of people who are devoted to changing how we possess and value fashion.

The continued learning of consumers is of particular interest to Campbell, who brings her background as a stylist to advocate for a holistic approach to building a loved and lasting wardrobe.

"In creating an inclusive space for the meaningful exchange of ideas, The Sustainable Wardrobe, hopes to foster a community of people who are committed to integrating sustainable practices into their day-to-day lives." she says.

Those curious about building more sustainable lives, and wardrobes, are invited to a special in-store event from 3pm-8pm on the 12th December, where they will have the opportunity to meet and engage with Campbell and the participating brand representatives. An informative and interactive Designer Talk will be held at 7pm, along with other activities throughout the afternoon and evening.

As well as providing a space for mindful shoppers to discover new slow fashion brands, The Sustainable Wardrobe harnesses collaboration to create meaningful content, educate and excite.
