Australian Country Music Sensation James Johnston Goes Global Capturing The Hearts Of His Fans On His Sold-Out UK Tour
James Johnston is undoubtedly one of the hottest names in country music right now. The Australian country music sensation, three-time Golden Guitar winner and ARIA Award nominee has been busy capturing the hearts of fans across the UK, having just wrapped his first UK headline tour with a run of sold-out shows, including a standout mainstage performance at Country Calling Festival.

From the moment James stepped onto the stage, UK audiences embraced his trademark blend of high-energy country, huge singalongs, line-dancing and just having fun. James kicked off the UK tour with a sold-out show in Glasgow on August 11, which saw him bring the party atmosphere of an Australian country bar to a Scottish crowd. The opening night was made even more memorable by a special live performance of his brand-new single 'COUNTRY SONG', with a bagpiper joining him on stage to bring the track's Scottish influence to life.

His Birmingham headline show on August 12 was the first of two sold-out nights at the Hare & Hounds. True to his 'fans-first' ethos, James turned the streets of Birmingham into an exclusive pre-show spectacle, dropping an unannounced live soundcheck for early-arriving crowds. Reinforcing his status as an Australian country music powerhouse, James joined the lines of fans for a line-dancing takeover led by Honey Boots Line Dancing to his smash hit 'ONE MORE.' The response to his live show was just as positive in Manchester on August 14, with NationalWorld noting it was a "performance that showed why Johnston is the face leading Australian country music"

The UK tour dates finished with an acclaimed performance at Country Calling Festival on August 16, with some fans waiting on the barrier for hours just to catch James' set. Throughout his performance, fans were singing every word and line-dancing, with James even stepping off stage to join the packed festival crowd during 'ONE MORE'.

In addition to the overwhelming response from fans begging for encore shows and upgraded venues, James' new single 'TAKES ME BACK' was granted a world exclusive first play on the BBC Radio 2 Country Show with Darius Rucker.

Now, James is returning home for a festival appearance at Australia's Gympie Muster, before travelling to Canada for an upcoming debut headline show at the Ranchmans on September 11. For more touring and ticketing information, please visit jamesjohnston.com
