Question: Explain the name: The Great Kat Shred Guitar Goddess.

Katherine Thomas: The Great Kat (Katherine Thomas) is a highly-trained Juilliard Graduate Violin Virtuoso (Winner of the Artists International Competition on Violin and Violin Soloist at Carnegie Recital Hall) who realised after graduating from Juilliard that Classical Music was dead and decided to update Classical Music using speed mental and become the World's Fastest Shred Guitarist - Named "Top 10 Fastest Shredders Of All Time" by Guitar One Magazine and "50 Fastest Guitarists Of All Time" by Guitar World Magazine!

Question: Did you have any pre-conceived ideas about the music industry?

Katherine Thomas: Who cares about the "Music Industry"! The Great Kat is here to force you to become a genius with high-speed, geniusising entertainment!

Question: Do you write your own songs? What's your inspiration?

Katherine Thomas: Yes, The Great Kat composes my own shred/classic Songs: Listen to "Torture Techniques" ( and "Islamofasciasts" ( from "Beethoven Shreds" CD. The Great Kat's inspiration is the power, technical genius, brilliance and virtuosity of Beethoven!

Katherine Thomas: Wake Up! The Great Kat is on a life-long mission to resurrect classical music for the masses using metal music!

Question: Do you prefer performing live or recording?

Katherine Thomas: The Great Kat Spreads the gospel of shread/classic music to the masses through all mediums- recording, live, tv, radio, internet- any way to get the world to wake up and become geniusized!

Question: What/who was your inspiration to go into the music industry?

Katherine Thomas: Speed Metal! Brutal power and speed!

Question: What's a typical day like?

Katherine Thomas: Composing, rehearsing, promoting and spreading the word of The Great Kat's genius shred/classic music!

Question: What has been your favourite part of becoming a music artist?

Katherine Thomas: Waking up this lethargic world with the power of the great masters: Beethoven, Mozart, Wagner, Rossini, Vivaldi, Bach and Paganini.
