The Finders Keepers returns to Melbourne

The Finders Keepers returns to Melbourne

Australia's most loved creative design market The Finders Keepers is returning to Melbourne/ Narrm 13-15 October for their 75th event, hosting more than 250 makers and designers at the Royal Exhibition Building.

With support from seasonal presenting partner Squarespace, the event will bring together 50-plus debut stallholders and feature fair fashion, handmade ceramics, one-of-a-kind art, First Nations brands, local food and more during The Finders Keepers 15th year.

The Finders Keepers managing director Sarah Thornton said this season they were highlighting some of the inspiring work done by their stallholders in the ethical fashion space.

"We're introducing The Change Room to this event, a showcase of fashion stallholders driving positive change, where shoppers will be encouraged to embrace sustainable values and feel comfortable trying new items," Ms Thornton said.

"We can't wait to get back to Melbourne as we continue our 15th year celebrations in a city where mindful making and thoughtful design is very much loved."

Squarespace senior marketing manager for Australia and New Zealand Alex Neilson said Squarespace was thrilled to be partnering with The Finders Keepers.

"Markets play such a special role in the Australian small business community. We know that so many of the makers and designers that showcase at The Finders Keepers Markets also have an online presence," Neilson said.

"We're so excited to bring our two brands together to help support emerging creatives and entrepreneurs to grow their business and connect with their audiences, whether that be offline or online."

This season's Indigenous Program recipient is local start-up Gardening On Country with their Australian-made recycled plastic garden tools, alongside six other First Nations creative small businesses including Haus of Dizzy and Clothing The Gaps.

The Change Room will feature 20 stalls including textile recyclers Upparel, where visitors can drop off clothing for recycling, cult online brand Nala underwear, and Will & Bear.

Visitors can join a creative workshop hosted by ClassBento, from cocktails to 'painting partners', and the kids will be sorted with colourful craft from See Make Play right next door to The Sweet Spot where fave's Cakehouse Collective return with their fresh-baked treats.

Ceramics lovers can relish in local loves Tiny Pots Melbourne and Sydney-based favourites Public Holiday, alongside newcomers ThroughGood Pottery, Sono Studio and many more.

Live sets from local DJs will keep market-goers grooving all weekend, with Minimum Wines, (new vintage release), Listo (margaritas & mocktails) and Molly Rose Brewing (with a bottle shop) serving up from the bars.
