Tantalon Phaze

Tantalon is the electronic music pseudonym of Australian-based artist, Dom Kukla. Born in the Hunter Valley Region, NSW, Tantalon emerges from the fog. This musical journey began in the early 00's when Dom began as a DJ. After time spent in multiple bands and years participating in Brisbane's small, but vibrant nightlife scene, it wasn't long before Dom found his way into the studio. Years later, after a brief stint in Sydney, Tantalon was born. Now he's releasing his newest organic house tune, "Phaze". 

The track was recorded and produced by Tantalon in his Brisbane home studio. He also mixed the tune, with mastering by Tony Mantz (Jack the Bear). Dom plays keys/synthesizer and electric drums on "Phaze". The result is a melodic, deep house track that'll have you wishing it was a hot Autumn day at Rabbits Eat Lettuce. 

"The track was written after coming home from a five-year stint in Sydney. Unfortunately Sydney was plagued with restrictions and lockout laws during my stay there. The entertainment sector seemed stifled from the laws in place at the time. After moving back home to Brisbane there was a sense of liberation, which maybe comes through in this song. This song is about navigating through the tough stages in life and coming out the other side, older and a little wiser," producer Dom explained of the track. 

Inspired by the natural world, freedom of expression, all things dance and electronic, but most importantly the good times and freedoms of the early yesteryears, Tantalon has a unique way of telling his story through music. With an eclectic ear for anything electronic, expect a diverse range of music. Vocal laced broken beat, energetic, organic raw cuts and left field recordings full of colour and emotion. All cooked up in unique fashion. 

2021 will see Tantalon releasing a lot of new original material on his own imprint, 'Full Circle,' as well as independently.
