Melbourne, get ready to swoon as four of Australia's leading stage and screen stars unite in true 'Rat Pack' style for Swing on This in their long-awaited first Melbourne concert, at The Palms at Crown on Friday 28 June.
Now entering their fifth year together, Michael Falzon (We Will Rock You, Evita), Luke Kennedy (Runner up The Voice Australia 2013, The Ten Tenors), Melbourne's own Rob Mills (Legally Blonde, Wicked) and Matt Lee (So You think You Can Dance, Mary Poppins) will deliver a modern and audacious take on all-time swing classics from Sinatra and Bublé, to rock and pop hits from Farnham, INXS and The Proclaimers.
With his powerhouse voice, Falzon has numerous leading role credits to his name including Melbourne productions Sweeney Todd and Rock of Ages; Rob Mills has established himself as the quintessential 'everyman' finding fame on the boards and on TV; Matt Lee is recently returned from London's West End after establishing himself as Australia's latest and greatest song-and-dance man and TV celebrity judge; and Luke Kennedy was the voice on The Voice, finding success on the charts and on tour, most recently with From Johnny to Jack.
The four leading men will bring audiences along for the fun as they perform timeless hits such as Feeling Good, Mack the Knife, New York, New York and My Way, recapturing a bygone era, with liberal dashes of contemporary charm and cheeky irreverence.
Joining the 'fab-four' will be Melbourne's Craig Schneider and his big band.
Created for the 2014 Adelaide Cabaret Festival, where it 'brought the house down', the show has toured from festivals around the country to appearances overseas and back to Sydney Opera House with the SSO. It's now Melbourne's turn to get a kick out of Swing on This and its star-studded collection of some of Australia's most talented leading men.
