Shoalhaven's Coastal Forage Returns With A 10-Course Progressive Beach Feast

Shoalhaven's Coastal Forage Returns With A 10-Course Progressive Beach Feast

With Saturday 13 September 2025 selling well, tickets go on sale this Friday for Sunday 14 September 2025. Be part of one of New South Wales' most distinctive food and wine events, Coastal Forage, returning to the breathtaking shores of Jervis Bay this Spring.

More than just a long lunch, Coastal Forage invites guests to take part in a 10-course progressive degustation spread across 6km of Jervis Bay's stunning coastline. Part gourmet trail, part beachside bushwalk, the event brings together Shoalhaven's best chefs, producers and distillers in an immersive nature-based dining experience.

Groups of 20–25 guests will depart at staggered intervals from Moona Moona Creek Reserve, making their way along the beach and bush track to Orions Beach, with ten curated food and beverage stations waiting along the way. Each dish reflects the flavours and stories of the South Coast, from sea-foraged delicacies and cool climate wines to fire-grilled native ingredients and artisan spirits.

Returning favourites Bangalay Dining, Paperbark Camp, Appellation Oysters & John Harley Seafood, Old Salt Distillery, Blackhen Kitchen, Caterina and Trolleyd will be joined by fresh local names including Cupit's Estate bistro, with menus designed to hero the region's landscape and marine bounty.

A private boat transfer in Jervis Bay Wild's Eco 1 across the bay will return guests to the starting point, completing a loop that combines wild beauty, culinary excellence and relaxed luxury in one seamless afternoon.

"Coastal Forage is about slowing down and savouring the connection between place, produce and people," said Amanda Fry, founder of Experience Nature. "There's nowhere else in Australia where you can enjoy a ten-course meal with your feet in the sand, whales offshore, and a local chef plating up what was caught or harvested fresh locally. It's pure Shoalhaven."

Held just once a year, Coastal Forage has become a sought-after fixture on the regional events calendar, drawing food lovers from across the country for its signature blend of barefoot elegance and bush-to-bottle storytelling.

Tickets are $225 per person and include all food and drink, a tasting glass and guide booklet, and a return boat transfer. Start times are available every 15 minutes from 10am–3pm. The event is for 18+ only and dietary requirements cannot be accommodated.

A limited Stay Package is also available, including two nights' accommodation at Bangalay Luxury Villas, breakfast and two tickets to Coastal Forage for $1,680.

Coastal Forage is supported proudly by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW.
