Santa Monica Pops Up in Sydney

Santa Monica Pops Up in Sydney

Today marked the official reveal of the six-week long immersive activation Santa Monica at Pier One Sydney Harbour, bringing LA's beach city to life along the stunning harbourside with a curated menu of SoCal-style food and beverages and live cooking demonstrations from award-winning Santa Monica chefs, free wellness and fitness experiences, an organic mini-farmers market and live music sunset sessions.

Three renowned Santa Monica chefs will be in Sydney for the pop-up. While the activation kicked off with a yoga class, the first of the Wellness Wednesday events, Chef Josiah Citrin and Chef Raphael Lunetta officially revealed Santa Monica at Pier One ahead of their first chefs table collaboration with The Gantry Head Chef Thom Gorringe this evening, with additional dinners taking place on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 September.

Chef Josiah Citrin is a two-star Michelin Chef and owner of California's highly-acclaimed Mélisse and Chef Raphael Lunetta is a 'Top Chef' judge, California Chef of the Year and Owner and Chef Proprietor at Santa Monica institutions Lunetta and Lunetta All Day. The third guest chef, Chef Govind Armstrong of 'Top Chef' and 'Iron Chef' fame and Executive Chef of Santa Monica icon The Lobster will arrive later in October to host an al fresco seafood BBQ dinner on Wednesday 16 October, again in partnership with Chef Gorringe.

No doubt, visitors to Santa Monica at Pier One Sydney Harbour will be inspired to visit Los Angeles' beach city. A trip to Santa Monica is up for grabs each week of the activation, thanks to Santa Monica Travel & Tourism, United Airlines and 7Travel. For a chance to win, visitors to the activation will be encouraged to snap a pic and tag on Instagram using #santamonicasydney

Santa Monica a Pier One will run for six weeks from Monday 22 September to Thursday 31 October. For a full list of events, bookings and more information on the activation and Santa Monica, please visit santamonicaatpierone.com
