After earning acclaim from Rolling Stone Australia/New Zealand, Milky, The Music, Women In Pop, and dominating the NZ Airplay charts for seven consecutive weeks and residing in the Airplay Top 40 for 14 weeks and counting with 'Over Romantic,' Candy,' shifts gears, awakening from the previous tracks' summer fantasies to confront the uncertainties that arrive with changing seasons.

Penned alongside Robby De Sa (The Veronicas, MAY-A, Coterie) and Phoebe Sinclair (Peptalk), who also co-wrote 'Over Romantic,' 'Candy' carries a nostalgic essence as RIIKI REID contemplates the future of a relationship as summer fades. Over jangling guitar chords and punchy drum patterns, RIIKI REID's emotionally charged songwriting delivers the bittersweet realisation of a romance almost too perfect to last.

As RIIKI herself explains, "'Candy' was written from a place of reminiscing the feelings that begin to take place at the end of a summer lovematch... when you're in the grey zone and you don't really know what the hell is going on in real life, you start getting desperate for an indication that the other person wants you as much as you want them."
