Prahran Market Trader Fundraiser
Saturday 18th January, 11am-3pm
Many of Prahran Market's Traders will be getting together and setting up stalls in Market Square to sell produce - with 100% of proceeds going towards the Victorian Bushfire Appeal. There will also be live music from bands donating their time.
Traders involved include: Hagen's Organic Meats, Q Le BAKER, Gary's Meats, Maker & Monger, Market Lane Coffee and Blackhearts and Sparrows.
Sizzlefest at Prahran Market
Sunday 2nd February, 10am-3pm
Sizzlefest is a free annual event at Prahran Market, celebrating everything that is great about the BBQ.
The annual Prahran Market Sausage Competition will take place in Bracher Arcade from 11am-1pm. The Arcade's butchers put their best sausage forward for the public to judge. Usually the judging (yes, tasting!) is free but in light of recent events, we will be inviting gold coin donations for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal to take part. The winner of the Market's best sausage will be announced on Tuesday 4th February.
The day will kick off with a kid's workshop at 10am with Tobie Puttock and Eat For Life: Grilled Watermelon Salad.
Free demonstrations will take place all day in the Omega Neil Perry Kitchen, including Hoy Pinoi - Filipino BBQ, Burn City Smokers – preparing meat for smoking, Kin San of Wasshoi – charcoal chicken and demos by Bodriggy Brewing Co chefs and Bente Grysbaek.
There will be plenty of food to enjoy at the Market or take home - for meat lovers, pescatarians, vegetarian and flexitarians alike. Prahran Market Traders will be popping up in Market Square including Prahran Seafood - Grilled Prawns and Calamari, Sweet Greek – Saganaki, Mr Hoddle - Smoked Mozzarella salad and house-smoked ribs and Gary's Meats. As well as guest pop-ups from Burn City Smokers and Hoy Pinoy.
There will also be other fundraising initiatives taking place.
