Loulou Depend On Me

Naarm / Meanjin based project loulou return with new single "Depend On Me" - an unconventional love song celebrating the comfort found in being completely dependent on someone (even if it's not 100% healthy).

Taking the form of an upbeat garage rock banger, 'Depend On Me' showcases loulou's tight trio instrumentation at its most minimal and powerful, with snappy drums, motorik bass and blistering guitar riffs. Punchy, humorous and earnest, it pays tribute to loulou's garage rock influences; landing somewhere in the sonic realm of Eddy Current Suppression Ring and early Parquet Courts.

'Depend On Me' follows on from the January release of 'Positive Outlooks for the Apocalypse', which saw the band hit the road for their debut tour. The single was featured by radio stations, blogs and music media around Australia and abroad, with highlights including a spin on Triple J's Home and Hosed and a #1 spot on the 4ZZZ Top 20 charts.
