Lazy J Supporting Tyga

Lazy J Supporting Tyga

With over 2 milion views on YouTube and a fanbase into the tens of thousands, X Factor favourite Lazy J is one of the most unique young talents to grace Australia's hip hop scene.  Westgate Entertainment are pleased to announce the young rapper will be supporting Tyga on his upcoming tour of Australia.

After leaving St. Vincent's hospital with a horrific scar in October 2012, Lazy J definitely has a story to tell. The twenty year old hip hop act from Sydney, was involved in a brawl outside a nightclub after a gig in Kings Cross, resulting in him being stabbed in the heart and announced 'clinically dead'. The incident left the young star more ambitious than ever, and saw him recently open independent record label Carpe Diem Music Group. He released a 21 track mixtape in March 2013, which received over 10,000 downloads within the first 2 weeks and saw the release being published on popular blog sites worldwide.

2014 sees Lazy J releasing his debut street album 'Do or Die". The first single released in January entitled 'Do Or Die" took us through a journey of what he experienced before, during and after he came out of hospital, with a heart-felt video clip to match. The Valentines Day special 'Mad In Love" saw a second collaboration between J and European pop sensation Faydee. Their last collaboration together exceeded over 35 million YouTube views independently and went #1 across European radio and television.

Although the label is still young, CDMG is already home to a variety of acts of different genres. Plans for the label are bright with J's first radio single 'Flexin", featuring fellow crew members Young Men Society due for release mid year.

Clearly, being stabbed in the heart hasn't stopped the young Australian talent. Instead it has pushed him to strive forward and exceed expectations. Everyday is a blessing, and Lazy J is definitely making the most of them. Carpe Diem, seize the day.
