Kita Alexander Releases Latest Track 'Sentimental Letter'
ARIA-nominated Australian singer-songwriter, Kita Alexander has today released 'Sentimental Letter' the latest single from her upcoming highly anticipated sophomore album RAGE, set for release on June 26, 2026 via Warner Music Australia. Pre-orderRAGE HERE. Pre-Save 'Sentimental Letter' HERE.
Speaking on 'Sentimental Letter', Kita shares, "We carry generational trauma from our ancestors. As women we're taught to be quiet, accept what we've got and that it's good enough. But we deserve more than that. In my workplace, in my friend circle, I wanna be surrounded by people who lift each other up and are motivated to be the best versions of ourselves. I don't necessarily have my shit together but I'm down for the work and want to be surrounded by people who are also trying to become the best versions of themselves. I think it's important to put songs out into the world that help people critically think about their standards or their behaviours. I think a lot of people could use a message like this."
Last month, Kita announced her Australian and European + UK album tour. The RAGE Tour will kick off in Melbourne on September 12, with shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth to follow, before Kita heads to Europe from October 14 and wraps up in the UK on October 23. 2026 is already shaping up to be a defining year for Kita. Last month, she was announced as an ambassador for this year's Witchery White T-Shirt campaign, further cementing her growing cultural presence. She has also released three singles, 'Tell My Friends' featuring Danish singer-songwriter Christopher, 'The Good House' and 'Rage' - the lead single and title track from her forthcoming album.
Kita Alexander's sophomore album RAGE is a reclamation of self. After a lifetime of silencing her feelings and instincts to fit the societal mold expected of women, Kita reached her breaking point. Drawing inspiration from her own life and shared experiences of others, Kita sheds her good girl expectations, searches within, and embraces her rage to meet her truest self.
Speaking on RAGE, Kita said, "Rage has been the catalyst of positive change in my life over the last couple of years. The album is about an emotion I've always had but never understood. It's me looking at it and embracing it as a new friend and realising that I don't have to shut it down or avoid looking at it. Rage has helped me find what truly matters to me and to change my life in ways that work for me."
RAGE was recorded live in the room using only organic instrumentation, with no digital synths, and was crafted with Kita's live show firmly in mind - ensuring the songs translate seamlessly to the stage. For the album, Kita collaborated with PJHarding (Noah Cyrus), EhrenEbbage (Lizzie McAlpine and Myles Smith), JamieScott (Major Lazer and Justin Bieber), DanBryer (Niall Horan), and longtime collaborator ShungudzoKuyimba (Teddy Swims and Little Mix) to create the sound that is RAGE.
RAGE arrives two years after Kita's highly-acclaimed debut album YOUNG IN LOVE which debuted at #3 on the ARIA Australian Album Chart and sparked a sold-out national tour. Kita's grand pop ambition received wide-spread acclaim from Rolling Stone, NME, Billboard, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, RUSSH and more, as well as a 2024 ARIA nomination for the Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Award.
