Austrian streaming sensation James Hersey has revealed his new single "Forget (About Everyone Else)", produced by GrammyAward-winner WillHicks (EdSheeran "Perfect"), and mixed by MannyMarroquin (KanyeWest, Pharrell, Sia, Ed Sheeran, JustinBieber). With trap-influenced production that evokes comparison to Khalid and PostMalone, this track marks James as one to watch in the electronic pop world.
"'Forget (About Everyone Else)' is about promising to be there through thick and thin," said James. "It's about deeply and truly understanding and accepting their past, and offering to share the weight of its consequences."
James Hersey has amassed over 350 million streams worldwide, led by his hit single "Miss You", which reached over 150 million streams, was certified Gold in Italy and Canada, and surpassed 50 million streams in the US alone.
James' intimate rooftop performance of his song "ComingOver" was the launching point of his international career, from which dance heavyweights filous, Kygo and DillionFrancis reworked his original into a worldwide smash-hit.
In 2019, James released his exceptional eight-track mini-album "Innerverse" which, alongside his successful debut EP "Pages", rapidly made him into an online sensation and gained support from the likes of Radio 1's AnnieMac, AppleMusic's ZaneLowe, as well as Mistajam, AdeleRoberts, CelSpellman, and MazTappuni (Communion).
Hersey has also received accolades from top tastemaker publications including TheTelegraph, Wonderland, The Line Of Best Fit, CLASH, DIY, Idolator, EARMILK, RedBull, and tmrwMag. He has also performed at such acclaimed festivals as BritishSummerTime, Bonnaroo, Coachella, Lollapalooza, Firefly, SXSW, The Great Escape, Reeperbahn, Eurosonic, and Frequency, and has landed support slots for the likes of Sigrid, LANY, MilkyChance, HONNE, and most recently Metric and JeremyLoops on their UK and European tours.
