Gordi Monsters and Men Tour
With a 2015 that saw her nominated for a J Award (Unearthed Artist of the Year) and two FBi SMAC Awards (-Song of the Year' and -Next Big Thing') as well as hit #1 for most-played song on Triple J Unearthed with -Can We Work It Out', 22-year-old Gordi is set to dominate 2016 with her unique brand of folktronica. With huge things to follow, the young artist has signed to international booking agencies Coda (UK) and Billions (US), as well as being announced as the main and only tour support for Icelandic pop outfit Of Monsters and Men.
Following the outstanding response to her innovative and permeating sounds, Gordi is proud to announce new global representation for the small town Australian artist. In the UK and Europe she will be represented by Coda co-founder Rob Challice who represents Surfjan Stevens and Warpaint amongst others – with the greater agency also looking after the likes of FKA Twigs and London Grammar. In the US Gordi will be represented by the founder of Billions David Viecelli (aka 'Boche Billions") whose personal roster includes Arcade Fire, St Vincent and Foy Vance. The Billions agency also represents Mumford and Sons, Bon Iver and Future Islands.
Gordi will also be joining Icelandic pop masters Of Monsters and Men on their Australia-wide tour. She will be supporting the band with her stunning and charismatic live show as they hit venues down the east coast.
Gordi shot to popularity earlier this year with her arresting singles -Can We Work It Out' and -Nothing's As It Seems' which peaked at number 5 on the Spotify Charts and number 6 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Chart. Nominated for two prestigious FBi SMAC Awards (-Next Big Thing' and -Song of the Year'), Gordi has supported the likes of Little May on their national tour in early 2015, won the prestigious APRA Josh Pyke Partnership Award and played breakout showcases at BIGSOUND and New York's CMJ.
