Interior designer and The Block judge Darren Palmer has revealed his new Bondi kitchen in its full glory, showcasing metallic cabinetry as a key feature of the sleek and stunning design.

Darren chose the beautiful anthracite-toned TITAN from Freedom Kitchen's metallic range, which was launched in Australia last year and first featured on TV screens in last year's season of The Block.

Darren was drawn to the sheen of Freedom Kitchen's metallic range of cabinet finishes, as the anthracite-toned TITAN perfectly matched the smart new French door fridge he was planning to install.  His integration dreams were realised with all of the surrounding joinery done in TITAN, allowing the fridge to blend in seamlessly.

"The metallic range from Freedom Kitchens was the perfect way to achieve the integrated look I was after," said Darren. 'Metallics have been popular in interiors for a couple of years now, but the TITAN cabinet doors are an evolution and expansion of the use of metallic surfaces in interiors which also lends a subtle, sophisticated sheen to the kitchen.

"I chose touch-catch doors rather than handles to keep it sleek, but then tied back to the metallic with anthracite handles on my timber-look lower cabinets."

The use of timber-look lower cabinets plus ICELAND WHITE upper cabinets from Freedom Kitchens create an overall contemporary Scandi feel – but with a metallic twist, thanks to the TITAN.

Having worked together in the past, Freedom Kitchens was a natural choice for the renovation of Darren's Bondi home. The task was to convert his former basic kitchen (circa 2010) into a high-tech contemporary space to better suit his style, and reflect the lifestyle he enjoys with husband Olivier and their three dogs – something that has been achieved perfectly in this renovation project.
