Live, Cold War Kids create a chaotic groove that recalls the first Beta Band EP, Billie Holiday, Dylan, and the Velvet Underground. Lyrically, they conjure up bizarre and fragile tales of robbery, complex relationships, political and religious allegories. They seem to effortlessly produce music that manages to be highly emotive and both ear-splittingly loud and vast, yet equally intimate and blissful, with the sweetest of harmonies.
Off the back of their acclaimed debut album Robbers and Cowards, the Cold War Kids played to packed audiences all throughout the country. This Sydney show spelt the end of their world wide tour; and the jtv cameras were there to capture a stellar performance.
Featuring the songs Hair Down; Red Wine, Success!; God Make Up Your Mind; We Used to Vacation; Hospital Beds; St John; and Hang Me Up To Dry, this is one concert not to be missed!
