Catherine Britt Returns With Brand New Single 'Take Our Time'

Hot on the heels of her latest album, "The Hardest Thing", Australia's Catherine Britt isn't wasting anytime releasing new music with a brand-new-non-album track out Friday June 12.

Catherine wrote "Take Our Time" while on tour in the US a few years back with her then boyfriend and now husband, Bradley Bergen.

"We were dealing with a lot of back-lash about our new relationship from people in our past who were jealous of our happiness and success", says Catherine.

"I wrote this song because I was trying to focus it back onto us and our love for one another. It's about drowning out the noise of your past and focusing on your future by taking your time with the right one."

As producer of the track, Bradley Bergen says, "I remember the first time I heard this song after Catherine wrote it in Nashville. It was one of the first in the batch of songs for the new album and I was instantly very excited to track it. It's funny how it was one of the first songs she wrote for the project and yet we're only releasing it now. We certainly have taken our time to get it right."

Catherine kicks off her national "The Hardest Thing" tour in early June - with shows already announced in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland. She's also been announced as part of line ups for Gympie Muster and Savannah in the Round.

Catherine Britt is one of the most successful artists in Australian country music. She is a five-time Golden Guitar Award winner, six-time ARIA Award Best Country Album nominee, signed to RCA in the US at just 17, earned two US Billboard Top 40 Chart singles, toured and worked with everyone from Brooks & Dunn to Alan Jackson to Dolly Parton, is the youngest Australian ever to perform at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and recorded a duet with Sir Elton John.
