Inspired by a real-life moment Brittany witnessed in a Nashville bar the night before a songwriting session, the song quickly evolved into a playful anthem about throwing caution to the wind and chasing a feeling.
"I had been in a Nashville bar listening to live music the night before our write and I heard this lady ask a man she had just met to buy her a drink,"Brittany shares. The following day she took the story to co-writers Michael Saleta and Jake Arthur.
"I wanted to capture that flirty, confident energy where you're not overthinking it, you're just going for it and Michael had the title 'You Look Like I Need A Drink'. This song came from that fun, little cheeky, in-the-moment feeling - you see someone across the room and just know there's a spark."
With its punchy country-pop production, singalong chorus, and undeniable sass, 'You Look Like' leans fully into Brittany's evolving sound - one that balances polished Nashville influence with the down-to-earth warmth and charisma that's made her such a compelling performer.
"Recording this song was so much fun with a world class band at Warner Chappell Studios," she recalls. "They had previously just performed on a Shaboozey song that morning. We discussed the fun, sassy nature of the song and they brought my vision to life in 2-3 takes on multiple instruments."
Accompanying the release is a vibrant music video filmed in Nashville and produced by Justin Mayotte of BCAM, bringing the song's cheeky storyline and electric chemistry to life against the backdrop of Music City nightlife.
