Continuing on from her very successful year so far, powerhouse
Brittany Elise has graced us with her new single,
'House a Home'. It is set to join her previous single
'Find Your Music' in the hearts of fans everywhere.
'House a Home' was written during the 2020 lockdown when
Brittany was reflecting on the important things from when she was growing up.
"It is the simple things that made our house into a home – dad's shoes at the front door meant he was home from work, sharing home cooked meals, learning to ride my bike, family story times, the laughter, our height chart on the back of my bedroom door, learning to play instruments and the objects within the house that don't match. It's these feelings you always remember," Brittany says.
The vocals of
'House a Home' were recorded in
Brittany's home studio in Queensland, while the rest of the track was produced with
Adrian Hannan at
The SongStore Victoria (
Delta Goodrem, Vanessa Amorosi, Taxiride, Casey Donovan, Carter & Carter).
This is
Brittany Elise's second release in 2021, after
'Find Your Music', which continually echoed around the summer airwaves, remained on
The Music Network Hot 50 Airplay chart since release on 22nd January, peaking at
#16. The single debuted on the iTunes charts at
#4, received full rotation on
CMT and regular airplay on stations including
ABC Country, Kix Country,
IHeart Country,
98.9 FM,
The Wolf Australia,
Australian Country Radio,
Today's Country 94One,
Country Capital Radio and
Big Country Radio.
Brittany Elise has since been nominated in four categories at the
2022 Independent Country Music Awards for
Female Artist,
New Female Artist,
Single of the Year (
'Find Your Music'), and
Film Clip of the Year (
'Find Your Music'). This follows on from her
#2 debuting album in 2019,
'Something More', featuring charting songs
'Another Day',
'Something More',
'Pit Stop',
'A Simple Plan' and
'Dorothy May'.
Combine this success with a love of sport and charity,
Brittany Elise will be coaching at the school girls state hockey championships in July, hoping to follow on from her
Bronze Medal in 2020, as well as working closely with the
R U Ok Campaign for mental health.
'House a Home' is a tender rumination on all the things that remind us of home, irrespective of where you are in the world. It is a song that deserves a home in your heart.
