2022 has already been a whirlwind for country-pop rising star,
Brittany Elise. She ignited the main stage at the
Tamworth Country Music Festival in April as a
Top 10 Toyota Star Maker Grand Finalist and was named
Most Popular New Female Artist of the Year at the
Australian Independent Country Music Awards. Her recent single
'Sunshine Hurricane' blew into the
CountryTown Hot 50 airplay charts at
#35, where it remained for a whopping 4 months. Now she's coming in hot with her brand new track,
'Feel The Fire'.
This new single is the type of vibrant release we've come to expect from
Brittany Elise. Its title refers to the too-often ignored, passion and ambition that stirs within many of us.
"Go for that job, switch careers, work overseas, go back to school, ask for a pay rise!" she exclaims. Co-written with
David Carter (
Carter and Carter), she set out to craft a song that would encourage listeners to
"be fierce and follow what's burning inside of them."
Produced alongside
Adrian Hannan at
The SongStore (
Vanessa Amorosi,
Delta Goodrem), the explosive track embodies the empowering nature of
Brittany Elise's message.
"We really wanted to create a choir, anthem vibe throughout the production of this song to resemble a live audience."
The accompanying video clip, shot by
Golden Guitar winning
Jay Seeney of
Blacklist Productions, continues the theme.
"The whole production of this video was extremely fun and electric," recalls
Brittany Elise. Filmed in the charming Macarthur/Wollondilly region, it features some breathtaking scenery and of course, pyrotechnics.
"It was super fun to include the CO2 cannon and firework machines."
'Feel the Fire' is destined to be a rousing foot-stomper in
Brittany Elise's live set.
"We are very excited to get back out on the road. There is nothing like live music with great friends," says the Queensland native. This year will see her embark on the
'Sunshine Hurricane' tour – a list of over a dozen dates, spanning from North Queensland to Tasmania, including an appearance at the beloved
Gympie Music Muster and an opening spot with freshly minted,
Golden Guitar recipients,
Darlinghurst.
Brittany Elise's passion and need to inspire transcends her
music; she also has a penchant for philanthropy. Working with her local women's shelter she started
'Raise Your Voice' - a concert to empower female singer songwriters and supporters. This year's sold-out show donated all of its proceeds towards the shelter.
With each release
Brittany Elise goes from strength to strength.
'Feel The Fire' is poised to be a winter warmer worthy of even greater feats. With the release of this latest track,
Brittany Elise has shown us yet again that she is an exciting talent, not afraid to share her spark with the world - as the tune's lyrics attest -
"I might make some mistakes / But I got what it takes, to feel the fire".
