Ayurveda is a natural medicine system born in India. Ayurvedic medicine is based on a wellness philosophy of balance between mind, body and spirit. The Sanskrit word Ayurveda translates as science of life that believes in promoting good health rather than fighting disease. However, there are well established treatment principles and protocols for a today's major and minor illnesses too.
What we do in our Ayurvedic Treatments Our practitioner and therapists have experience in treating a variety of health issues. We have tried to detail those in our inner pages, the following is a summary of our competence areas.
Womens health Ancient Ayurvedic literature covers volumes on managing all aspects of women's health. Our practitioner has successfully combined that time tested theory with realities faced by women living in the western world to arrive at individually customised treatment plans. We have been treating patients with issues such as PCOS ( Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), Endometriosis, managing menopausal syndromes, menstrual irregularities, infertility etc. to name some of the major illness groups.
Ayurvedic Skin care and hair care We have successfully adopted classical ayurvedic theory and also modern day research advances in Ayurveda in treating skin and hair issues. Ayurwoman has a good number of success stories in Ayurvedic Skin Care, treating issues such as psoriasis, vitiligo and alopecia.
Stress Management and ayurvedic treatments We are fully equipped including experienced therapists for performing authentic Shirodhara treatment and massage therapy, abhyanga ayurvedic massage and Kerala Panchakarma treatments. All these wellness treatments can be performed in a stand-alone fashion or as an ingredient in a larger treatment plan.
Cleanse and rejuvenation If you have been wanting to do a cleanse of your body, we can definitely help you with that. We will do a thorough dosha analysis and will recommend a customised cleanse plan including ayurveda massage treatments, medicine and an ongoing diet plan to follow.
Other treatments We have also used Ayurvedic treatment regimes for illnesses such as IBS, digestive issues, lyme disease, cervical spondylosis, thyroid problems, weight loss, carpal tunnel etc. We have dedicated pages detailing naturopathy and ayurvedic treatment options for several such illnesses.
Yoga and Ayurveda While yoga cannot cure an illness on its own, benefits of yoga have widely been recognised as a supportive therapy during your treatment and into the future. If you are a yoga believer, we will be more than happy to recommend to you specific yoga postures to practice on your own which may support the healing process. If required, we can also recommend a suitable yoga trainer based on your needs.
