Twinings Simply Tea & Banana and Pecan Loaf

Twinings Simply Tea & Banana and Pecan Loaf
Why not make Twinings Simply Tea the focus of your morning with a luscious slice of banana and pecan loaf on the side.

Most mothers don't have time to sit quietly and savour some of the lesser known Twinings blends, but Simply Tea, is one of the most flavoursome and refreshing blends in the range.

Simply Tea was designed specifically to suit Australian tea tastes and is perfect for any time of the day.

"Australian's tea drinking preferences are unique to the rest of the world. Australians demand a fuller bodied tea and are highly discerning," says Stephen Twining, tenth generation of the famous tea family.

"Where English Breakfast tea was designed as a fuller bodied cup that works perfectly with the stronger flavoured breakfast food, Simply Tea is a good all-rounder that can be drunk at anytime of day, both as a morning wake up and an afternoon pick me up, with or without milk.

"Simply Tea was designed to have an attractive, coppery look without milk and a red, golden appearance with milk. It makes for a perfect cup of tea on all occasions," he added. "This particular blend is so enjoyable we have developed a recipe for banana bread that will complement it perfectly," he said.

For the ultimate indulgence any day, bake the banana and pecan loaf the day before and store it in an airtight container so it is ready to serve for any Twinnings Simply Tea break.

For that extra special treat, serve the banana bread with a pot of Simply Tea, but remember there are some rules when making a pot of tea.

"Always fill the kettle with fresh cold water; use one teaspoon of tea for each person and one for the pot; pour the water onto the tea as soon as it boils; and, brew for three to five minutes which will ensure mum enjoys the full and complex flavour of the tea blend. If the strength is not to your liking, adjust the amount of tea you use - not the brewing time. Once brewed, stir and serve," he added.
