MI5 is confronting an old enemy - Russia - as it emerges as a new superpower, while continuing to battle the threat of Islamist terrorism. In episode three, the team has been alerted to a barrage of possible British al Qaeda attacks, but it is proving hard to stay on top of them all. With murmurings that al Qaeda is active again and with the Home Secretary refusing to raise the national threat level, the team is under even more pressure to ensure a terrorist attack is prevented. Ben is sent undercover into a London-based al Qaeda cell planning a series of suicide bombings - an extremely dangerous operation where his cover is nearly blown. Ros and the team face a desperate race against time to stop the four terrorists' bombs going off.
